    ALBERT MARKOV
    Concert Violinist,
    Composer, Conductor

    Albert Markov, internationally renowned violinist, composer, conductor and teacher is the Artistic Director of the Rondo Bennington Music Festival. As a teacher at the Manhattan School of Music, he guides young musicians in their studies, whether they aspire to be professional or non-professional musicians. Mr Markov has an unfailing philosophy of self-improvement which he continually encourages his students to adopt.

    ALEXANDER MARKOV
    Concert Violinist

    Alexander Markov was born in Moscow and studied with his father, Albert Markov. By the time he was eight years old, he was already appearing as a soloist with orchestras and performing double concertos with his father. He is now an internationally celebrated violinist and has established a reputation second-to-none in the 19th century virtuoso repertoire. Mr Markov performs and teaches for the Rondo Bennington Music Festival.

    ELENA KVARES
    Teacher, Concert Violinist

    Elena Kvares, born in Kiev in the Ukraine, immigrated to the US in 1993, studying violin with Ariana Bronne. She holds a Doctor of Musical Arts Degree from Rutgers University and a Master's in Orchestral Performance from Manhattan School of Music. She studied with Glenn Dicterow and Arnold Steinhardt. As a winner of the Artist International Competition, she made her Carnegie Hall debut in 2001. Dr Kvares is a violin teacher at the New Jersey Youth Symphony, Suburban Music Center.
    GEORGIY GINOVKER
    Concert Cellist

    Georgiy Ginovker, born in St Petersburg, Russia, was principal cellist of St Petersburg Philharmonic for many years. Winner of international competitions, he completed graduate studies with Mstislav Rostropovich. Mr Ginovker had solo appearances in Russia, Europe, Japan, and the USA. He was Professor of Cello/Chamber Music at St Peterbsurg Conservatory. Since 1992, Mr Ginovker has lived in New York. He has performed as principal cellist/soloist with orchestras at Carnegie, Alice Tully, Avery Fisher and Merkin Concert Halls. Mr Ginovker teaches cello and chamber music.
    MICHAIL GELFANDBEIN
    Concert Cellist, Conductor

    Michail Gelfandbein, Russian-born cellist, graduated from Leningrad Conservatory of Music where he studied with Mstislav Rostropovich. He played with Leningrad Philharmonic for 27 years before he was co-principal cellist with Tel Aviv Opera. As a soloist he performed worldwide and as a teacher he spent five years at Leningrad Conservatory's Rimsky-Korsakov Music College and two years at San Jose State University. He conducts El Camino Youth Symphony, CA and teaches privately.
    VIVIEN ZHANG
    Pianist

    Vivien Zhang was born in Shanghai, China where she began her piano studies at age three. Her United States studies began in 1993 and after graduating from UT Austin she was accepted at Manhattan School of Music (MSM) where she received her master's degree in collaborative piano. Ms Zhang is currently a doctoral candidate at MSM studying with Dr Heasock Rhee. She has collaborated with many renowned artists including violinist Alexander Markov and cellist Marion Feldman.
